LIZ PERRINE has lived with monsters most of her life; now she writes about them.

Favorite things: Cats, fountain pens and ink, books, baking, coffee, tea, and cloudy, rainy days.

Favorite book: The Song of Achilles, by Madeline Miller.

Favorite movie(s): The Princess Bride. The Fifth Element. Aliens. Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Favorite authors: Ilona Andrews, Lois McMaster Bujold, Martha Wells, Thea Harrison.

Favorite food: Fried cheese curds. (IYKYK.)

Coffee or Tea:  Yes.

Latest non-writing obsession: Fountain pens made by artist Abigail Markov.

Favorite cause: Cat rescue/TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return)/fostering, because hundreds of thousands of cats and kittens are euthanized in shelters every year. If you want to do good, contact your local rescue organization and ask how you can help. Donate, volunteer...anything! And above all, spay/neuter your pets. This is critical! Female cats can get pregnant as early as four months old. End the cycle of suffering and speuter your pets!
